AAI’s Mid Michigan Office
Are you looking for an adoption agency in Mid Michigan? We recently celebrated the 1st anniversary of the opening of our newest office in Freeland, Michigan. It was a wonderful experience to reconnect with former adoptive families and meet new families and community members! Jennifer Jaworski, Director of the Mid Michigan Office, said that night, “We have been honored to serve clients in the Mid Michigan region and look forward to continuing the work of adoption in the year ahead.”
Families have been searching for adoption agencies in Mid Michigan so a presence there is greatly needed. Our office in Freeland provides domestic infant adoption services, adoptive home study services for both domestic and international adoption, and services for expectant parents as they plan adoption.
What We’re Doing in the Mid Michigan Area
Since the opening of the adoption agency in Mid Michigan, we have made over 80 contacts with communities, agencies, and local organizations that serve women who experience unplanned pregnancies. We look forward to continued partnerships with these organizations in the tri-cities area.
Earlier this month, Jennifer presented adoption information to over 100 high school students. She has also conducted three in-services for nurses, social workers, and counselors in the past few months. Additional speaking engagements at a pregnancy center in Mt. Pleasant and at a hospital in Flint are coming up soon.

- Jennifer, director of our Mid Michigan office, joined AAI in 2006 as a caseworker for birth mothers and adoptive families. She has over twenty years of social work experience with children and families and is passionate about adoption. Jennifer enjoys public speaking opportunities, including student education and professional in-service presentations. She also hosts AAI’s Adoption Focus Podcast program on Tuesdays – click HERE to learn more about that and to see previous podcasts. Jennifer is passionate about supporting adoptive families as they navigate through the adoption process and caring for birth mothers as they make an adoption plan for their baby.
- Katie joined AAI in 2018 when the adoption agency in Mid Michigan opened. She provides casework services for prospective adoptive families, helping to prepare them for the journey of adoption. Katie enjoys her work with adoptive parents as she helps them through the home study process.
- Joy initially worked for AAI from 2005 to 2008 and rejoined the agency in 2019. She enjoys getting out into the community to share resource information with doctor’s offices, pregnancy centers, and community groups. Joy also provides administrative support for the adoption agency in Mid Michigan and welcomes clients and visitors into the office with her kind smile.
