Giving Thanks
November is National Adoption Awareness Month! Please join us as we celebrate this special occasion alongside the hundreds of families that are formed by adoption each year.
This one month of the year is dedicated to bringing awareness to the adoption process, but here at Adoption Associates, Inc., we realize that every day is a day for giving thanks. When a birth mom discovers the perfect family for her unborn child, a family brings home a new son or daughter, or a couple is connected with a child that will soon be their own, we are reminded of just how powerful the process of adoption can be. During this important month, set aside some time to remember the love of birth mothers who have placed children with adoptive families and of forever families that have been formed.
Since 1990, Adoption Associates, Inc. has placed over 4,100 children with their forever families—over 230 children have been welcomed home so far this year! We congratulate these families, share in their joy, and thank them for giving brighter futures to their sons and daughters.
Since the work of adoption is never finished, please also remember and advocate for the thousands of children worldwide who are still in need of permanent homes. Many orphaned or abandoned children are either sheltered in orphanages or remain on the streets with no food, no shelter, and no hope. This month, we ask that you remember these children and share your story with your community—whether it be of your hopes of adopting or your successful adoption journey—so that others will learn about the children who are left behind and these children’s need for adoptive homes.
This month, be inspired by reading an adoption story through the eyes of a birth mom, discover how one couple opened their hearts to the adoption of four siblings, and find out how you can learn more about the adoption process by attending a free meeting or by scheduling a consultation. Also in this issue of our newsletter, meet our new development associate and find out the many ways that you can help in supporting our cause, whether it be requesting adoption month materials for your church, attending our annual banquet in December, or donating humanitarian aid to our overseas orphanage projects.
Thank you for your help in providing brighter futures for children. We so are grateful for your support of the agency’s work on behalf of children, birth mothers, and adoptive families!
