Support Needed for 2008 Hosts of Hope program
Adoption Associates, Inc. (AAI) is pleased to once again share a very special hosting program. Through Hosts of Hope this year, we aspire to make a significant impact in the lives of older children from several countries.
We at AAI are excited about this unique program. Hosts of Hope facilitates connections between potential adoptive families and older children residing in orphanages overseas. These orphaned children, available for adoption, are repeatedly overlooked by prospective adoptive families, who almost always want to adopt younger children. For these children, it doesn’t take long for discouragement to set in, along with feelings of rejection and loneliness. As the name implies, Hosts of Hope offers a future filled with opportunity for these very extraordinary children.
Through this program, children come to the United States for a two- to three-week period, and stay with host families. Or, for some countries, American families travel abroad to spend time with the children there. Participating families are most often open to the possibility of adoption, and our prayer is that a bond will develop between each child and his or her host family.
We look forward to expanding upon the success of last year, our first year offering this unique hosting program. Other hosting programs such as this have been very successful in the past, with nearly 100 percent of the children ultimately being adopted. AAI’s 2007 hosting program had also proven to be very successful.
This year, we plan to include hosting opportunities for children in China, Russia, Ukraine and Nepal, beginning with the Russia summer program in July and China Camp in October. Our goal for 2008 is to raise $120,000 for Hosts of Hope. These funds will go toward travel expenses, children’s activities during their stay, health and liability insurance, and gifts for the children.

Change a Life—Change the World! Children’s Benefit Banquet 2008

Celebrate National Adoption Awareness Month in November by becoming involved in AAI’s second annual banquet that raises funds for children worldwide. The Children’s Benefit Banquet will feature a performance from an Adoption Associates, Inc. children’s choir and testimonials from AAI adoptive families.
