Adoption Associates, Inc. Celebrates National Adoption Awareness Month
At Adoption Associates, Inc., we rejoice with every orphan that becomes a son or daughter through adoption, but at the same time, we remember the orphaned children left behind who may never be adopted.

In recognition of these children, and in order to spread the word about the tremendous need for adoptive families, Adoption Associates, Inc. is hosting several special events throughout November. Weekly Q & A E-mails Now Available for Kazakhstan and Ukraine
AAI now offers weekly Q & A e-mails for our Kazakhstan and Ukraine adoption programs that provide valuable information about the adoption process, the children, travel, and more. For more information, please visit our news item on this topic.
New Ukrainian Program is Growing
After Russia, Ukraine is one of the most popular programs for Caucasian children in international adoption. Consequently, there is a lot of interest in AAI’s new Ukraine program and it continues to grow steadily. This program boasts a short waiting time and families can typically travel to Ukraine just a few months after submitting their dossier. Only one trip is required for this program. However, parents have the option of taking two trips. If they choose to do this, the time between the two trips will only be a couple of weeks.
AAI’s Ukraine program coordinator, Larissa Koedyker, just returned home from Ukraine with her adopted daughter. She is glad to answer any questions you may have about this program. To speak to Larissa, call 616.667.0921 or e-mail lkoedyker@adoptionassociates.net. You can also learn more by visiting our Ukraine Adoption page or by attending one of our upcoming information meetings.
New Kazakhstan Program is Growing
AAI’s new Kazakhstan program also continues to grow. There are currently five families in AAI’s Kazakhstan program who are in various stages of their adoption processes. Many of these families are finding that Kazakhstan is a very positive alternative to the China program because there is a much shorter wait. Families may wait as little as four months from dossier submission to the time they travel to meet a potential child.
For more information about AAI’s Kazakhstan program, please contact Chandra Doorn at 616.667.0921 or e-mail cdoorn@adoptionassociates.net. You can also learn more by visiting our Kazakhstan Adoption page or by attending one of our upcoming information meetings.
Now is a Great Time to Adopt from Russia
Now is a great time to adopt from Russia through Adoption Associates, Inc.!
If you have not already signed up with AAI, we encourage you to take another look at this program for the following reasons:
AAI received a permanent license to work in Russia in July of 2007 and has been working in Russia since 1994.
The average process time from formal application to bringing your child home is twelve months. The process time could be shorter for boys 18 months and older.
Russia is the most active program for Caucasian children in international adoption.
AAI has a very active Russian program with an average of twelve families traveling every month.
