Welcome to the Hosts of Hope Children!

AAI is thrilled to announce that all six of the Hosts of Hope children arrived safely in Michigan from their orphanage in Russia on Thursday, July 26. The children range in age from five to seven years old and will stay with host families until August 16. They are accompanied by Tatiana, one of their orphanage caregivers, and by Marianna, a staff member from our Russian office, who will be rotating from home to home during their trip. Throughout their three week stay, the children will participate in various activities that allow them to bond with their host parents and learn about the local community.

Change a Life—Change the World! Fundraising Banquet

Save the date! On Saturday, November 17, AAI will host its first fundraising banquet entitled “Change the World—Change a Life” at Ridgewood Christian Reformed Church in Jenison, MI. The event will start off with a punch bowl and hors d’oeuvres at 6pm, feature dinner and dessert, and include a presentation by the Children of the World International Children’s Choir. Those in attendance will learn about how they can help change the lives of many of the world’s orphaned children through their generosity.

AAI is currently looking for sponsors to underwrite the cost of the tables at the event. Tables will seat eight adult guests and can be sponsored for $300 per table.

To learn more about this event, to sponsor a table, or to see how you can volunteer to help make this event a success, please call Tom Gill, director of fund development, at 616.667.0677 or e-mail tgill@adoptionassociates.net.

Volunteers Needed!

Do you love to bicycle, run, golf, or walk? If so, have you ever considered using these hobbies for a greater purpose?

AAI is currently looking for individuals to consider bicycling, running, golfing, or walking to raise funds for the agency on a volunteer basis. These individuals would seek pledge support for bicycling, running, or walking a predetermined distance or golfing a selected number of holes, and the money they raise would go to support an AAI cause of their choice.

If you are interested in using one of your hobbies to raise funds for AAI, please contact Thomas Gill at 616.667.0677 or e-mail tgill@adoptionassociates.net. To see a list of causes to support, please visit our donation opportunities page.
