Every Fourth of July, I can’t help but be grateful for the freedom we have in America and for our forefathers’ dream for our country that led to it. This dream began simply as the yearning for a better future for their children.
While many things have changed in the U.S. over the past 200 years, a parent’s desire to provide a opportunities for his or her child remains the same. Working in adoption, I often see birth parents echo these sentiments when they choose adoption for their children to provide them with a more promising future. By doing so, they also allow an adoptive couple to finally experience the depths of parental love.
