Double Vision
When you first think of double vision, what comes to mind? Seeing two images of the same object? Although this is the most common association with this term, in adoption, we see this condition occur in a different way with adoptive parents—when their plan of adopting one child results in a vision of adopting two.
We often witness adoptive parents fall so in love with their new child that they cannot wait to adopt again. Or, we see them decide during the adoption process that they don’t just have room in their hearts and in their homes for one child—they have room for two. At other times, we also have the special pleasure of placing twins with adoptive families through both our international and domestic adoption programs. Although the placement of twins is a rare occurrence, it does happen at AAI. Oftentimes, the families that adopt these twins find that God has fulfilled the desires of their hearts beyond their wildest imaginations through the surprise double blessing of their children.
This month’s newsletter features AAI families that have adopted multiples. Continue on to read about two couples who found themselves twice blessed by adopting twins, to learn about a new donation opportunity, and to see what’s new at AAI.
Have you ever considered doubling your vision?
