Embracing Ethiopia
AAI has made a long-term commitment to sponsoring the ADERA and OROMIA orphanages in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The children who live in these orphanages have been orphaned due to poverty, disease, and civil war. Although these children are considered fortunate because they have a roof over their heads and the promise of food every day, they still fall victim to the poverty of the third world society in which they live. They often lack suitable clothing, medical care, blankets, books, and cribs. Even basic schooling is rare.
Funds are needed to support these orphanages and to set up an office in Addis Ababa for AAI’s new Ethiopia program coordinator.
Ethiopia is home to more orphans than any other country in the world. Your donation will greatly impact the lives of some of these 4.8 million children.
