Check Out Our New International Adoption Journal Program—Free to AAI’s Adoptive Families
Looking for a way to easily update your family and friends about your international adoption? We have the solution for you. New to AAI is a site that will allow you to create your own adoption-themed journal and post updates about your adoption journey that your family and friends can respond to with their own comments. Best of all, this service is free to families adopting through AAI.
You will be able to customize your journal by choosing a background with a theme that relates to the country you are adopting from and set up a calendar that includes important dates, such as when you will be traveling to bring your child home.
Have photos that you would like to share? When you create a journal, you will be able to post an unlimited number of pictures to your journal for your family and friends to enjoy without ever leaving their homes. Because all journals are password-protected, you’ll be able to rest easy in the knowledge that only those who have your password will be able to view your postings.
Once your journal is set up, simply share the site link and password with friends and family that you would like to keep updated about your adoption journey. Then, visit the site as often as you would like to write about one of the most important journeys of your life!
To be one of the first AAI families to create an adoption journal, please contact your international consultant or visit www.AdoptionJournals.org for more information.
Come Celebrate with Us!
Interested in adopting internationally? Don’t miss an opportunity to talk with families who have adopted from Russia, China, or Guatemala, visit with their children, and sample ethnic cuisine at our Global Celebration on Thursday, March 15, 2007 from 6-8pm at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Saginaw, MI. Information will also be available about our adoption programs in Ethiopia and Nepal. You’ll be able to have your questions answered and decide if international adoption is right for you.
There are many children around the world in need of homes, and we consider it a privilege to connect them with loving families. Since we know the decision to adopt takes careful consideration, we hope you’ll join us for another opportunity to get firsthand information from families who have adopted internationally through AAI.
Please join us for this celebration and feel free to bring a friend. You can stay for the whole meeting or just drop in. Attendance waives your $350 formal application fee.
To RSVP, please call Adoption Associates, Inc. at 989.497.5437 or e-mail saginaw@adoptionassociates.net.

Help Spread the Word about Adoption in Your Church
AAI has compiled resource packets for churches, and we need your help to make sure that your church receives one. Each resource packet holds several brochures that describe our services and the ways that we promote adoption to families and women experiencing unplanned pregnancies. Included in the resource packet are:
Materials describing Room for One More, our newest program which promotes Ethiopian and Nepalese adoption as well as the sponsorship of orphaned and destitute children, the financial support of orphanages, and the formation of adoption assistance funds in churches to help families with adoption expenses
Our birth parent brochure—a resource for your pastor or youth pastor when a young woman is faced with an unplanned pregnancy
Brochures describing our domestic and international adoption programs—a resource for church members who want to expand their families
We suggest that a resource packet be given to the pastor for his personal use, and an additional packet be placed in a resource center, church office, or another prominent place where church members can see it.
To order an adoption resource packet for your church, please download and complete the resource packet order form.
Thank you for your help in spreading the word about adoption!
