Reaching Out
When you hear someone say the words, “reach out,” what comes to your mind? If you type the phrase into an internet search engine several different things pop up: a service helping teens cope with depression, a web site supporting those who provide at home care for their family members, youth ministry tools, science project ideas for high school students, and much more. These topics are different, but all hold the same idea: reaching out to help someone else who has a need.
It’s no secret that we live in a selfish world. People are consumed with their own thoughts and desires instead of helping others who have basic, fundamental needs which are not being fulfilled.
This month, read about a new office in Detroit “reaching out” to birth mothers in the African-American community. Also, hear about a little boy who so desperately wants to find his forever family, and catch up on what’s happening at AAI.
Maybe it’s time for all of us to “reach out.”
Best Wishes,
