A Child Waits Foundation
A Child Waits Foundation was formed in 1998 by Cynthia and Randolph Nelson. After returning home from Russia with two adopted children in 1995, many families expressed interest in adopting but were discouraged by high costs. This was the impetus to start the foundation. Since then, A Child Waits Foundation has helped hundreds of children from orphanages in more than 10 foreign countries find new homes in the United States—and that number continues to grow. Loans are provided to prospective parents for the purpose of international adoption. Eligibility is based upon financial need and each case is judged individually.
