New Quota for Ukraine Adoption Program
January 11, 2008
NOTE: Please visit our January 18, 2008 news item for updated information on Ukraine quotas.
The Ukrainian political situation has changed recently with subsequent changes in the process of adoption from this country. The State Department for Adoptions has officially posted a quota on adoptions to the U.S. in 2008. The total number of U.S. dossiers allowed for submission has been reduced from 558 in 2007 to 460 in 2008 (http://kiev.usembassy.gov/amcitadoptionseng.html).
AAI continues to offer a Ukraine program for families who may have special ties or commitments to Ukraine. We also offer a Waiting Children program consisting of children of any age with medical concerns as well as healthy children over the age of six.
For more information on the Ukraine program, please call Larissa Koedyker, Ukraine program coordinator, at 616.667.0921 or e-mail lkoedyker@adoptionassociates.net.
