Dianne’s Adoption Story

Spread the Word

My name is Dianne. I’m 39 years old. I can’t remember a time in my life when I was more confused or more afraid than when I found out I was pregnant. I chose to release my baby for adoption.

I had so much support during and even after my unplanned pregnancy. I was surprised to learn that, as the birth parent, I was able to make all the decisions concerning my little girl. I selected her adoptive parents and even chose to receive letters and pictures of her as she grows.

For me, my little girl was a good thing, but at a bad time. To her adoptive mom and dad she is the greatest blessing they have ever known. It gives me so much comfort and joy, knowing that my little girl is happy and so loved. And now I know the choice I made was the best choice for me and my little girl. I am so proud to be a birth mom.
