AAI Received Hague Accreditation!
February 29, 2008
Adoption Associates, Inc. is pleased to announce that as of February 29, 2008, we received notification from the Council On Accreditation (COA) that we have been granted full accreditation status pertaining to the Hague Convention on Intercountry Adoption.
The Hague was created to protect children, birth parents, and prospective adoptive parents. It works to place children within permanent, loving homes by dictating international rules and procedures for ethical adoptions between countries that have a treaty relationship under the Convention. The Hague Convention on Intercountry Adoptions will enter into force for the United States on April 1, 2008, and will allow AAI to continue to conduct adoptions with other countries that have already ratified the Hague.
