After researching several agencies, locally and out of state, I decided on Adoption Associates, Inc. to help be my advocate in the adoption process. Being a single, older female, I wasn’t sure if the adoption doors would be open to me, but times have changed, and I did qualify through AAI’s Russia program. I met with Alla Goncharova, who was raised as a small child in Russia, and she became instrumental in my decision-making process. Her firsthand knowledge was comforting, and I was able to completely trust her judgment.
The staff in Grand Rapids, as well as the Russian staff that I worked with while in Russia, were outstanding. It’s extremely difficult to complete this complicated process of paperwork and government bureaucracy without help locally and internationally. Both agencies consisted of fabulous, dependable people who worked relentlessly to make sure both my trips and my adoption process went as smoothly as possible.
I’d like to extend a big thank you to all of those at AAI who helped me find little Madison. After traveling halfway around the world to find her, she has been truly a miracle and the light of my life. I wish nothing but continued success to the agency in helping others with this often stressful but wonderful, life-changing adoption process. Thanks again to ALL for helping make my dreams come true!
