Waiting Families

Jeremy & Tari

Photo of Jeremy & Tari

We are Tari and Jeremy. We along with our families and friends want you to know that you are appreciated and admired. You have a chosen a path that many would never take. You have demonstrated profound courage and strength for the sake of your baby and because of that you will always be this baby’s first hero. We stand in awe at such selflessness and would feel honored to be your choice to parent, love, nurture and help this child find his or her voice. We want very much to share our lives and have our family grow. We believe we have so much to give as a mom and dad. Thank you for taking the time to get to know us.

Our Home

We love where we live and think that our little town provides a great atmosphere to raise a child. We live in a neighborhood with tree-lined streets and families ranging from newlyweds to retirees. The schools are excellent and we are three blocks from the elementary school. We have lots of parks and trails all within walking distance. Our home is a four bedroom brick bungalow and reflects our lifestyle. It is filled with art and has flower gardens in the front and vegetable and herb gardens in the back. We have a yellow lab, Ellie, and a little cat, Wylie.

About Us

Jeremy is from New Jersey and is the youngest of five. Tari is from Michigan and is the oldest of four. We have four nieces and nephews on Jeremy’s side and three on Tari’s side. We are godparents to Tari’s sister’s daughters and the trustees for Jeremy’s sister’s children. Family is important to us and although we all don’t live in the same states anymore, we try and see each other often especially at the holidays. When we go to New Jersey, we enjoy going into New York City. When we visit Jeremy’s sister we stay at her house right on the Tennessee River. When we visit Tari’s parents in Orlando, we go to Disney World or drive over to the Gulf of Mexico. One of our favorite destinations is the Smokey Mountains. Each time we go, we take the tent and camp. We love to be out in nature. We enjoy hiking and we like to take photographs where ever we go. We love to visit new places especially if there is a lot of history. We have a deep appreciation for historical architecture. We enjoy visiting art museums and quaint little towns that have unique shops and cafes. We love art and surround ourselves with it. Jeremy’s mother is a painter and a potter. One of Jeremy’s hobbies is wood working. Tari is a painter and also makes jewelry which she sells at a local gallery. We love animals and are particularly delighted with the many birds that visit our back yard. We enjoy cooking together and eating the fresh vegetables from our garden. We have been so blessed with each other and we love being together. We have been married for ten years and we are very excited about sharing our lives with a child. We have pretty traditional values and Tari looks forward to being a stay at home mom.

Jeremy Talks About Tari

Tari is caring, compassionate, creative, spiritual, and honest. She has shown me that the journey is more important than the destination and that often it is more important to be considerate than logical. Tari is an artist. She has a bachelor degree in art and volunteers at an art center that assists people with special needs in creating art. When we baby sit there are always art projects to keep the kids entertained. It is difficult to convey how content Tari seems when she is with our nieces and nephews. I can only say that it was while babysitting that it became clear to me that we needed to adopt. That was the beginning of our adoption journey.

Tari Talks About Jeremy

Jeremy is one of the greatest men. I love him so much. He makes me want to be the best I can be. He will be an excellent father! He is wonderful with children and they love him! He is very family oriented and it is incredible to watch him with our nieces and nephews. He is very gentle and kind. He is very respectful and cares about society and the environment. He is hardworking and ambitious. He has a masters degree in engineering and has a terrific job. Jeremy loves working in the garden and can make anything grow. This has been great because we also like to cook, and we like to eat what we grow! One of his hobbies is wood working and the bowls he makes are gorgeous. I just can’t say enough about him. I truly believe the world is a better place because he is in it.

Closing Thoughts

We believe that raising a child is the biggest responsibility most people face in life. We eagerly anticipate all the fun experiences that come with parenting but we also understand that children are individuals that require love, nurturing and guidance as they become the next generation. They need us to help them develop a healthy and positive self esteem and self image. From us they need to learn how to be empowered and become responsible adults. As you search for parents that will provide a safe home and bright future for your baby, we want you to know that we understand the magnitude of our responsibility to both a child and to you.
