Jason & Jill
Dear Birthmother,
As a birthmother you've probably spent countless hours thinking about the lifestyle you want for your unborn child. You've probably agonized over an adoption plan that will fulfill every need that you could imagine for your child. We cannot begin to know the difficulties that you're going through; however, we admire you for taking these steps. Your actions show a great deal of love for your child. Executing an adoption plan must take a great deal of courage, love, trust, and hope that you select the very best family to raise your unborn child. We're hoping that you select us. We will provide a loving, safe, and generous life for your child.
After Jill was diagnosed with premature ovarian dysfunction, we sought infertility treatments only to be told that they weren't an option. Naturally, we were devastated. Determined to fulfill our dream of having a family, we looked to adoption. Raised as Catholics, adoption was a natural and welcome option. We are grateful for the opportunity that you are giving us by just reading our profile. Thank you so much.
The Story of Us
We met during the spring of 1997 through mutual friends. It wasn't long before we realized that we were perfect for one another. We dated through college and were married in June 2002. Our marriage represents a strong commitment to one another. We share love, happiness and laughter every day. We've learned that even through difficult times, we are stabilizing factors in each others lives. Before we were married, our priest told us, "You should thank the Lord that you found one another because you are perfect for one another."
The Two of Us
We are best friends and enjoy being together. We both enjoy outdoor activities such as a quiet walk through our neighborhood, a bike ride through the nearby metro park or visiting a zoo. We love to go on vacations, especially camping and kayaking in northern Michigan. We also enjoy hanging around the home, renting movies, having barbeques on the deck and playing with our dog, Sadie, and our cat, Smokey.
Jason
Jason is 30 years old and a kid at heart. Jason's glass is always half full; he laughs and enjoys life every day. Jason enjoys riding his mountain bike and running. He's a caring, patient, and dedicated husband who devotes time and energy to our family. I knew when I met Jason that he would be a great father. Jason can't wait to teach his son or daughter how to ride a bike, play basketball, and make s'mores by the campfire. Jason graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. He's currently employed as a Shipping and Receiving Manager. Jason has a heart of gold, and I am the luckiest wife in the whole world.
Jill
Jill is 29 years old and is full of energy. She's a caring, kindhearted person who loves to laugh and always knows what to say to brighten up your day. She enjoys reading, taking walks and cooking. Jill is a fabulous wife who is the love of my life and is devoted to our family. She'll be a great mother and looks forward to reading bedtime stories and teaching her child how to play miniature golf. Jill graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Audiology and Speech Pathology. She's currently working with special needs children. I am impressed with the patience and compassion she exhibits while working with children. After the baby, Jill will take a leave of absence, and then will return to work on a part-time basis. Our parents will help with childcare so no outside care will be needed.
Our Family
Family is a very important aspect in our lives. We're both very close to our parents and are blessed that they live nearby. Both sets of parents have been married for over thirty years and have provided us with support, compassion, dedication and love. Our parents are excited and supportive of our plan to adopt, especially since this will be their first grandchild. Our parents have inspired us to become the parents we know we can be. They can't wait to spoil their grandchild and to give many hugs and kisses. They're eager to help with childcare and Jill's brother is also thrilled at the thought of becoming an uncle. A few years ago, Jason lost his only sister in a car accident. Through this loss we've learned to value life more and not to stress over the small things. We believe God has a plan for everyone, which has taught us when there is a loss, there is always a gain.
Jason has a large extended family with cousins who have many children from newborn to 12 years old. Jill's extended family is smaller with a cousin that has two young children. Being around family during the holidays and other family events is very special to us. Our extended families are very supportive of our decision to adopt and can't wait to welcome a new member to our family.
Our Home
We built a three bedroom and 2-1/2 bath home in a subdivision. There are many families with children throughout our neighborhood. There's a park with swings and a slide for the children to enjoy and a metro park right down the street, where we have picnics. The school system in our city is exceptional, and this is very important to us because we want our children to have the best education. After dinner you may find us walking our dog around the neighborhood and visiting with neighbors.
A Special Note To You
We promise to raise your child with unconditional love. We'll do everything in our power to provide your child with the life that he or she needs and deserves. We'll teach your child about life, about what it means to have values. Your child will not only be loved by us but by our family and friends.
